Superkarts to trial Mt Panorama

The Superkart Club of NSW has done what many said couldn't be done, open the door to the possibility of running Superkarts at Mt Panorama Bathurst. With months of behind the scenes work going on, it was agreed that a trial should take place at the circuit. This trial is only a "safety session". This means that 6 superkarts being 2 by 250 Internationals, 2 by 125 Gearboxes and 2 Rotax Maxes will take to the track to get a drivers perspective over a 3 lap session. The NSW Superkart Club would like to thank James O'Brien from the BATHURST 12 HR for making the session possible. The Superkarts will hit the track as part of the 2010 BATHURST 12 HR event. The sight of Superkarts on the Mt Panorama circuit will be a spectacle for all present as the pocket rockets blast their way around the mountain.

We've been pleasantly surprised with the amount of enquiry received at this early stage from not only the Superkart ranks, but the karting ranks as well. Potential event sponsors have also made enquiries. One thing that can be confirmed is that only full CAMS licence holders would be eligible to race. So with 12 months notice, this is great incentive for all provisional Superkart licence holders to work off there p plates. I'd also suggest that people who have enquired, or are thinking of enquiring, join the superkart Club in their state and start racing to get your full Superkart licence.
