Oran Park Grand Finale
This
is it. The last confirmed time to run on this great circuit in a kart before
it's all history, and the full circuit. Saturday December 12, 2009. This
will be the event to tell the grand kids about. No one will want to miss
this opportunity of a lifetime. The event is fresh so race details have not
come to hand at present. What has come to hand is criteria. The event will
be run under the AASA banner so the opportunity has risen to open the door
to competitors that don't hold a CAMS licence.
Do you have a....250 International Superkart, a 250 National Superkart, a 125 Gearbox Superkart, a 125 ICC Kart, a 80cc Gearbox Superkart, a Rotax Max. If you answered yes to any of the above and are not a Superkart Club Of NSW member, contact us now and see how simple it will be for you to be part of history. CAMS licence, AKA licence, AASA L2 licence, even no licence, we can assist you. Hit the contacts page above and start typing. Express your interest to us and we'll keep you informed as details come to hand.
We've had a massive amount of enquiry from outside the club membership, so to assist with a lot of questions, some answers are here. OK, YOUR THINKING YOU WANT TO ENTER THIS EVENT..........WHAT DO I NEED TO DO. You need to contact us either via the email link, or you can call me on the number listed in contacts. You need to become a member of the Superkart Club Of NSW. You can join as a full member which gives you access to both CAMS and AASA events, or you can join using our reduced membership rate that gives you access to all our AASA events. All memberships expire on 31 December 2010. You have the option of racing at Wakefield Park a minimum 4 times next year (full circuit) and the possibility of Eastern Creek International (T.B.C) Now you need a licence. You need either a CAMS or AASA L2 license. The enquiry has been for a AASA L2. There's a few ways of getting this licence. IF you hold an AKA licence and can produce 3 race meetings results, its only a matter of posting with payment $60.00 to Wakefield Park, and they'll send you your 12 month AASA L2 license. IF you have NO license. You need to attend a practice day at Wakefield Park, you get a massive amount of track time, and you'll be watched for a session. If your deemed competent, which means, drive safe, stay on the track, drive within your abilities, you pass. These are your options. Entries close on the 6th December, which means you need to contact us now. This is the full Oran Park circuit, not the sprint track, the track you watch the v8s on. We can assist you with gearing recommendations, anything at all. Number 1 is fun, we want you to enjoy the experience of long circuit racing. It's one long thrill ride.
